What Happened
To My Hair?
Hair loss is on the
minds of many. No pun intended but this is serious business and
people are serious enough to try to do something about it. In this
article I will look into the causes of hair loss, how to connect
with other people that have the same problem, how teenagers are
also affected by hair loss and to some extent what some hair loss
treatments there are on the open market for us to try and alleviate
our problem.
The causes of hair loss
are many and it is very hard to pinpoint the root cause of this
problem to a great many people. There are studies that reveal that
vitamin deficiency may cause hair loss. There are also studies that
identify psychological stress from everyday work life is the root
cause. Even diet is to blame for hair loss. Evidence is there that
researchers are still grasping to understanding why hair loss
occurs in the first place. A lot of study is still left on the
table to understand that complex being, meaning you and me. Yes we
are all unique in every which way and hair loss should prove no
different that each one of us having a unique DNA. Having said that
how do we connect with other people afflicted with the same
problem?
Forums are a great way
to find out how other people are dealing with hair loss issues. On
the internet you can do a search under any search engine that
you're comfortable with and key in hair loss forums. You will get a
plethora of forums and communities specifically geared toward hair
loss issues. You don't even have to register to read what people
have to say and ask about hair loss. If you have a particular
question in mind for any type of reason you can search for it. If
you want feedback from your question, just register under a pseudo
name and no one will ever know who you are. You'll get an answer to
your question and it might lead you to an area you've never
explored before. Who knows it may mean relief. Relief from hair
loss is by no means limited to people in their older ages, it also
affects our younger generation.
As eating habits of our
younger generation are not top of the watch list of priorities,
hair loss may be one of the byproducts of their lifestyle. Since
hair loss can also be attributed to diet and hair needs protein to
make it grow, a poor diet, fast life on the road, lack of proper
exercise all contribute to the demise of our hair. Treating our
hair right is so important in the beginning stages of our life that
even some doctors recommend using baby shampoo, shampooing no more
than once a day, and lathering gently. Don't rub your hair too
vigorously with a towel, either. If people starting out in life get
the message early then they may save a few hairs. But if not, there
are some treatments and remedies for hair loss
available.
Hair loss treatments and
remedies also are as varied as heads of hair. There are medical
treatments and natural organic treatments. And the cost varies for
each type of treatment and/or remedy. Because of the variance of
issues in hair loss, no one solution can be recommended for any one
person. If it works for you, then it works but if not there's
always an alternative. One of the medical solutions is the use of
Rogaine. Now Rogaine (Minoxidil) is a medicine used to treat high
blood pressure which but when applied to the skin causes hair
growth in some individuals. But not every person responds to this
medicine. In fact only one out of ten people who use Rogaine will
grow hair and the rest of the people will have to figure out
another remedy for their hair loss. But at least Rogaine will slow
the rate of hair loss in five out of ten patients who use it. The
other four out of ten are essentially wasting their money. As with
any use of medication consultation with your doctor is highly
recommended before you go on any kind of prescription drug for your
hair loss.
As you can probably tell
there are multiple reasons for hair loss that affects people and
that it does not only affect people in the older years it can also
affect our younger generation. Treatments of hair loss are as many
as there are people in the world. You can get many different
opinions from the investigation of forums but the ultimate
recommendation should come from your family doctor.
