Hair Loss Supplements and Product Reviews

Hair Genesis Reviewed:

Chronic hair loss is a common condition that continues to affect millions of adults around the world.  The majority of us will actually experience some form of hair loss by 60 years of age.  However, for a select number of men and women, hair loss exceeds the average 100 hairs per day lost.  This can become a huge problem, as hair loss occurs faster than it can grow.

There are a number of reasons why this happens as both temporary and permanent hair loss patterns are caused by a multitude of factors.  Temporary hair loss can be due to something as a simple as a vitamin deficiency or prolonged exposure to a certain medication.  The remedy can be easy if the underlying factor is immediately dealt with, i.e., eliminating nutritional deficiencies or discontinuing the prescribed drug.

The most serious and permanent forms of hair loss are usually genetic in nature (e.g. androgenetic alopecia).  This makes permanent hair loss patterns extremely difficult to handle.  Some type of treatment regimen is needed to aid in the re-growth of hair and to prevent any future loss.  This “treatment” usually begins by exhausting all non-pharmacologic options.  That means individuals with hair loss are recommended to try every possible alternative before committing to the long-term use of a prescription medication.

An Effective, Natural Option for Hair Loss?

One such alternative is the product, Hair Genesis.  Hair Genesis is a botanical-based hair loss formula that stands out from its hundreds of competitors, not only for its purported effectiveness, but scandal.  Hair Genesis’ hair loss package has been the center of heated debate in many online hair loss forums and independent investigations.  It first claimed to be effective in nearly 90% of users. However, after an investigation by a major news program (20/20), the owner of the company retracted that statement…saying that the figures were more along the lines of a 60 – 63% improvement.  Despite this negative publicity, a six out of ten success rate is impressive.  So what makes Hair Genesis so successful? The answer may lie within its extensive ingredient list.

Whether you still have respect for a company ousted on national television or not, one thing remains certain, the ingredients contained in this botanically-derived formulation are impressive and backed by clinical research.  The entire line centers on its oral formulation.  The topical serum, hair-thickening shampoo, and conditioner contain many of the same chemical constituents found in the oral formula and work to enhance the potency of the oral supplement.  Hair Genesis affords users an internal and external treatment regimen.
The key ingredients in Hair Genesis’ oral formulation include:

• Special Saw Palmetto Extract / LSESr quality for extra strength and potency
• Beta Sitosterol
• Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs)
• Biotin
• Proanthocyanidins (Procyanidin Oligomers)

Without going into a chemistry lesson, know that the chemical compounds found in these nutritional substances combine to form 5-Alpha-Reductase (5AR) inhibitors, or DHT Blockers and Anti-AndroGenetic Alopecia substances.  That is, they help with hair thinning and male-pattern balding as 5AR and DHT (dihydrotestosterone) are key players in the hair loss game.

The Bottom Line:

Despite the credibility of the abovementioned ingredients, they are not unique to the Hair Genesis line.  They exist as core components in other, more credible hair loss systems.  Although it seems that these agents do indeed interfere and regulate certain hormonal processes that can lead to the onset and progression of pattern hair loss, they don’t work as efficiently as Hair Genesis would like all consumers to believe.
Second, the Hair Genesis website sites that this formula is universal, or that it also works for females.  However, this is not an accurate representation, as, again, the website would have you believe. They state that that their interests regarding female hair loss is speculative at best.  That being said, gender-specific hair loss should be dealt with accordingly.  For example, formulas like Sephren are tailored to only women and consider the unique and delicate anatomy of the female body.  They provide much better options for those seeking a feminine formula.  Women should be cautious of a formula that deals in terms from a “susceptibility standpoint.”
Finally, the Hair Genesis line is quite misleading.  Their “clinical data” doesn’t tell the consumer that only nine participants completed the study.  Nor does it state that its valued physician endorsement comes from a radiologist instead of a true, hair replacement expert.  What are they hiding?  Well, the jury is still out regarding Hair Genesis’ misleading advertising campaign. But as far as statistics are concerned, they just don’t add up and cannot be construed as credible research.  What’s more, the pictures on their website show individuals with hair transplant surgery as some of their amazing success stories!  Even the owner of the company has admitted to medical procedures to cure his own hair loss issues.

Conclusion:
The bottom line is the bottom dollar, or what will you ultimately gain from your hard earned buck.  Today, there are hundreds of hair loss supplements on the market.  To dig through the confusing research and misleading claims proves to be much more of a laborious process than consumers can handle.  Many adults are inclined to believe what they read and are targeted by clever add campaigns that offer the illusion of immediate hair replacement.  Don’t buy in to the jargon!
Know that there are many websites and products that deal in terms of “legitimacy” rather than “speculation.”  They do their homework and afford consumers a good, viable option to the more popular over-the-counter remedies like Minoxidil.  Products like Procerin win our endorsement because they are time-tested, proven formulas that offer true hope instead of hype.

Hair loss continues to be a complex condition and no clear cure exists.  However, there are nutritional supplements that work.  You need not to obtain a prescription to remedy your situation.  Do your research and invest in products that care about quality rather than the number of units sold.  Look for guarantees and a legitimate record of good business practice by the manufacturer.  Find products that suite your individual need, both in terms of ease of use and effectiveness.  You may just find the product that reverses your hair loss regardless of your age and regardless of your current circumstance.
